Get your jackets ready! The Geminid meteor Shower is tonight. By far the best viewing is away from the lights of the cities. Take a quick drive East on Interstate 10 for 20 minutes to Desert Center. This is an excellent spot for dark, great viewing.

On this day in…
1932: A frigid storm hit the region on this day and on 12.13. These days were likely the coldest on record in Southern California. On this day the high temperature in Palm Springs was 38°, the lowest maximum temperature on record.

The Coachella Valley, and surrounding areas, got a good steady dose of light rain Sunday morning. It started around 1am and lasted until 10am with rain totals around a half an inch here in the valley. No major Flooding was reported due to the light nature of the rain.
