A Total Lunar Eclipse will take place Wednesday evening starting at 5:43pm PST (sunset is at 5:33pm, Moonrise at 5:26pm). The Earth’s shadow will totally engulf the Moon at 7:00pm and last 52 minutes. Eclipse ending at 9:09pm.
This will be the last total lunar eclipse visible to North America until December 20th 2010!

1990: It was 24° in Borrego Springs, the lowest temperature on record for February.
1942: It was 10° in Victorville and 24° in Palm Springs, each the lowest temperatures on record for February. In Palm Springs this also occurred on 2.21.1953.
