4.0 Earthquake

The valley experienced a minor 4.0 earthquake 7 miles east of Coachella Saturday evening at 7:43pm. It was widely felt by many here in the valley. For more info visit the Earthquake page or the USGS.

The magnitude 4.0 event occurred 12 km (7 miles) ENE of Coachella, CA.
The hypocentral depth is 13 km ( 8 miles).
