Light to moderate rainfall began around 6am on Friday and continued throughout the day until 2am this morning resulting in a total of 1.33 inches for Thousand Palms. As strong as this storm was we managed to stay dry on the valley floor. As you can see from this 24 hour rain total radar estimate, the Coachella Valley was in-between the rotation of the low (just offshore of Los Angeles) and a line of tropical moisture pulled up from the south (10-40 miles [...]

This last system was generous to parts of San Diego County, receiving as much as 2 inches. Palm Springs, Thermal, only a trace. Here in Thousand Palms… 0!
As of February 19th Palm Springs is at a deficit of 3.69 inches of rain. Normal rainfall is 4.16 inches.
