Thats a hard one on todays poll. Geese, I want them both LOL. Lightning Detector would be fun but it would not be much interest right now. July and August would be a good time for that feature. So I guess a cam would be more practical right now.

Hard question…. Hey that's why I posed the question to you all! I can only afford one this year and the other will wait until next.

The Lightning Detector is a neat little device, we'd be able to create a custom map of southern California and see where lightning is, and has been, as far away as 300 miles with very good accuracy!

Webcam, well.. its just a webcam.  We could make a time lapse video of the day's images. One thing that makes myself lean towards the webcam more is I have spoken to one of the local news casters and he mentioned the interest of the news channel wanting to create some sort of camera network and possibly use one from Desertweather.com.
