What is the best source of information on Desert Weather to tell if there is going to be early morning or early evening clouds? I want to start a photo portfolio of cloud formations in the Coachella Valley and will use this information to increase my chances.
Thanks!

That's a good question. The only thing that might even remotely help you on DW is the satellite imagery. Other than that the forecast might help.
General meteorology rule of thumb:
- High pressure normally translates into little if any clouds
- Monsoons in the summer are the exception to the high pressure rule
- Low pressure more mid to lower level clouds
By the way I like your new avatar!

Thanks John,
That's an easy rule of thumb to remember. I''ll keep an eye on the direction of your barometer.
Thanks on the Avatar. I figured it would be appropriate for DW. I actually took that shot yesterday morning.
