Hottest July on Record!

Posted by John . Filed under records |

If you thought July was warm….. it was.

The average temperature for July was 97.2 degrees! That makes it the hottest July on record according to the National Weather Service for Palm Springs. Here at Desertweather.com it averaged 97.0F. The highest temperature for July was on the 22nd at 119 with a mean temp of 107! (click here to see the report for July)

But don’t blame that record only on the hot temps in the peak of the day, we see that often in the summer months. Put more blame on the high humidity levels we saw in July, we saw alot of nights where it didn’t drop below 90!

Its has been drier but we have seen the humidity levels creep back up recently. Based on normals, we can only expect it to stay around until the end of September!

Stay cool! 8)
