Light rain started to fall here in the valley around 6:30 this morning ending a long run without rain. We are looking to receive around 2 tenths of an inch. Expect wet conditions throughout the day today and clearing by mid day on Saturday.

This rain has caused two power outages today in TRI Palms Estates. One of them was caused by a short in an overhead transformer which caused the home beneath it to catch on fire and be destroyed completely. Other than that this rain is welcome.

I saw that on KMIR6 news tonight. They didn’t say anything about the cause!? It doesn’t look like Tripalms is having too much flooding this time around.
