Large Storm to Affect Southern California

Posted by John in Topic: General

source: AccuWeather.comAnother strong storm out of the northwest will bring clouds on Thursday and rain Friday and into the weekend. Chance of thunderstorm at higher elevations Saturday & Sunday as the cold unstable air moves across the region.
Snow levels will start at 7000 feet and drop to 5000 Saturday and 4000 Sunday. Winds are likely as the front passes and can be higher especially in the mountains & passes.

Precipitation amounts will not be as high as last weeks storm but are forecasted to be .50 to .75 of an inch here in the valley and over an inch in the mountains. This should bring a nice dusting of snow in the mountains.

Everyone who reads this get out your cameras and get some weather related photos for the photo gallery in Desert Weather. This storm should produce some good photo opportunities!
