No, Hector is too far west to have any effect on us at this point. If you note the date on the photo, that was 3 days ago. The high pressure system over the southwest is strengthening and is responsible for pushing the monsoonal moisture back west and possibly into southern California.
I’m all for the afternoon thunderstorms, its helps me gets through the long hot summers. But hasn’t the cooler, drier weather lately been nice for August?
Is Hector responsible for the humidity coming in the next few days?
