On this day in…
1990: It was 24° in Borrego Springs, the lowest temperature on record for February.
1942: It was 10° in Victorville and 24° in Palm Springs, each the lowest temperatures on record for February. In Palm Springs this also occurred on 2.21.1953.

    Did Feb 14th have any records? A very unusual day.

    wow that was a strange cold system that was forecasted to head east before it reached us. No records in the immediate area, but some according to the NWS for part of southern CA:

    ...LOWEST MAXIMUM TEMPERATURE RECORDS SET OR TIED ON FEBRUARY 14...
