On this day in…
1979:
It was a scorching 123° at Palm Springs, the highest temperature on record. This also occurred on 6.28.1995 and 6.29.1995, and on 8.1.1993.
1913: It was 134° at Greenland Ranch in Death Valley, the highest temperature on record for the Western Hemisphere and only two degrees off the world record of 136° in El Azizia, Libya.

    Wow, that’s hot! I guess we can’t complain about 115! An Death Valley at 134, that means we can’t complain about 123! And 136 in Libya,….oh, forget it
    :)

    Geeze, I did not know it got that hot anywhere. Do you know what is the highest temperature on earth has been?

    yea it says above, “the world record of 136° in El Azizia, Libya”, that’s hot!
