Looking at the valley as a whole, you can see the “hit and miss” nature of these thunderstorms. The areas that got hit, got hit hard! Highway 111 was closed for hours due to flash flooding. Coachella Valley is under a Flash Flood Warning this morning. Rain was steady all night but only on the light to moderate side so that helped limit the threat of major flooding. As a results of over 2.5 inches of rain in just under 6 days, some flooding occured in the Tri-Palms/Ramon Road area of Thousand Palms.
