The Coachella Valley, and surrounding areas, got a good steady dose of light rain Sunday morning. It started around 1am and lasted until 10am with rain totals around a half an inch here in the valley. No major Flooding was reported due to the light nature of the rain.

We didn’t get the rain that was forecasted with this storm that came through early in the day on Friday. With the cold air and trough in place we still have a chance for some sprinkles over the next 36 hours and possibly a stray thunderstorm. Palm Springs recorded .07 of an inch and Thermal [...]

Another strong storm out of the northwest will bring clouds on Thursday and rain Friday and into the weekend. Chance of thunderstorm at higher elevations Saturday & Sunday as the cold unstable air moves across the region.

Light to moderate rainfall began around 6am on Friday and continued throughout the day until 2am this morning resulting in a total of 1.33 inches for Thousand Palms.
