2005: Five consecutive days of heavy rainfall started on 1.7 and ended on this day. The wet weather was blamed on the “Madden-Julian Oscillation”, also known as the “Pineapple Connection”. The Coachella Valley, and surrounding areas, got a good steady dose of light rain Sunday morning. It started around 1am and lasted until 10am with rain totals around a half an inch here in the valley. No major Flooding was reported due to the light nature of the rain.
