Wild Weather

Posted by John in Topic: General

The Coachella Valley saw its share of wild weather yesterday afternoon with wind, rain, and chilly conditions. It went from clear, sunny, and windy, and a high temperature of 68° at 12:30pm, to dark, rainy, and windy, 3 hours later! The daily low of 49° was recorded at 3:30pm!

Here at Desertweather (Thousand Palms) we recorded 1 one-hundredth of an inch of rain. Palm Springs Airport recorded 6 one-hundredths of a inch.

You can see the drop in temperature as the storm moved in, and then out rather quickly:

We had 2 trees blow over in our front yard here in south Palm Desert. We didn’t get any rain!
