Details:
...Continued hot for inland areas through the weekend...
.High pressure aloft centered over southern Arizona and northwest
Mexico will bring slow warming for inland areas through Sunday
with Sunday expected to be the hottest day. High pressure will
begin to weaken on Monday with slow cooling through the middle of
next week.
...EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM PDT
MONDAY...
* High Temperatures...112 to 118 through Sunday...then 108 to 114
Monday.
* Impacts...Those working or spending time outdoors, the
elderly, children, and those unaccustomed to excessive heat
will be most susceptible to dangerous heat illness.
* Outlook...High temperatures returning to near average for
Wednesday into next weekend.

Information:
Take extra precautions...if you work or spend time outside. When
possible...reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or
evening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat
stroke. Wear light weight and loose fitting clothing when
possible and drink plenty of water.
Young children and pets should never be left unattended in
vehicles under any circumstances. This is especially true during
warm or hot weather when car interiors can reach lethal
temperatures in a matter of minutes.
